On several occasions the author had the privilege of spending time with Carlos Barrios, a renowned Mayan Elder. He was born in
Guatemala, his home was in Huehuetenango the dwelling place of the Maya Mam tribe known as the “keepers of time.”
Carlos has an international reputation as a Maya Ajq’ij, ceremonial priest and spiritual guide. He shared with Edward additional
insights into the Maya way of life as well as performing a personal divination ceremony. The Maya glyphs and verse that highlight the beginning of each chapter are completely authentic.
Edward Curry's 2012 Maya End Date: A New Beginning is his second novel and is a sequel to his Temple of the Two Jaguars.
He is a former West Virginian who now resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has three grown children Lynne, Richard and Gregory.
